Fee or Free
This is the chart that is supposed to determine whether or not a student will be allowed to have their tuition waived. Last year it was a couple of thousand less. One thing that is sort of unfair to me is that it bases the ability to receive a waiver on your previous year's income. What if someone wants to attend and they currently have no income? This poses a problem if they made a lot more money the previous year. Shouldn't a student be able to obtain a tuition fee waiver based on their current ability or non ability to afford? Another thing that upsets me about this fee waiver is that there is an apparent glitch in fee waivers being issued. One student reported to me that he did not qualify for a fee waiver due to income but his sister was friends with a few of the people in the financial aid office. This student has a job and was able to pay the tuition fee. Where is the fairness in that?
